Epith. Economy and Raiding Guilds (as of 8/24/11)

Well after a few days of both Private Messaging people as well as doing my own research (when I wasn't goofing around on my server...)

Here are a few stats that I collected on Epith..

Economy
"this server has wayyyyyyy too expensive gear" - Kazuchi

Town scrolls

  • Roumen / Elderine / Sand Hill ------- 15 to 20s
  • Uruga ------------------------------------------ 150 to 200s
  • Albestrol Ruins ---------------------------- 200 to 250s
Production Items and +9s

  • T5 Elrues ----------------------------------- 250 to 300s
  • T5 Xirs --------------------------------------- 30g
  • Karis ----------------------------------------- 400 to 700s
  • T3 Scrolls (*excluding speed) ------ 20s
  • T5 Scrolls (* ) ----------------------------- 110s
  • T4 HP Potions --------------------------- 30 to 40s
  • T2 weapon +9 -------------------------- 25-35g (mainly concerning lv 40 and 50 weapons lv 20 and 30 weapons may be lower)
  • T3 weapon +9 ---------------------------- 30-50g

now for some surprises in prices.....
  • Emberflame +10 claws --- only 50g o-o I was expecting more since the trend of the economy compared to Teva's is higher. In Teva some would sell for over 1gem even at times close to 2 gems yet these are 50gold...

  • Warlock Malephar Top very crappy stats (2 dex 9 int....) -- 4gems to buy out of shop... In Teva we sell them for around 60g to a few gems this one would probably go for around 40g maybe.... this of course is for gear oranges are rarely sold in Teva but are usually for around 10+ gems (excluding bows [very few SS], and cleric weapons). The "logical" reason according to an anonymous source in Clubzero is that well simply and quite logically there are "very few male drops" in the server as well as "we need the money." I do agree that raid is a way to keep academies funded (at least in Teva) and maybe a way to spread the wealth among the guild but even then if these things are actually selling in Epith I will have to say that the desperate people in the server are also a part of what is driving the economy higher in this server.
Raiding Guilds

"LOL drama, your on the right server for drama" - Kazuchi

CluBZero
"sp3c[tral] tried to raid [Karen], we warred them" - Anonymous source.

Considerably friendly guild, an anonymous source from inside the guild, explained to me a lot far as the situation in raid and the server as a whole. The academy is active and pays a lot.

Far as History goes, CluBZero used to be a part of WarGodz the guild splintered and broke in half. The original WarGodz people became Imperial guild. Imperial doesn't raid only Clubzero and Sp3ctral.
Sp3cTraL

"Sp3c has been like one of the guilds that prob were here since the server was created if not is one of the top lasting guilds." - Anonymous source.

Cold, silent guild, I guess this is because, according to an anonymous source from Outspark forums says that they are one of the oldest long-lasting guilds. I tried interviewing the master and a few people all of them acted afk-ed or brushed me off, in the case of the master, he was banning academies as I was whispering him if he could answer a few questions for me never saying a single word not even no. The academy is somewhat quiet and pays well.
Raiding

Helgaleshi the Hellgate King (Helga).

I will need to talk to my sources again since CluBZero was raiding helga but I can't tell if they stopped temporarily or if they are still raiding helga.

Malephar the Lord of Darkness and the Harpies.

From what I understood from people I talked to there are two guilds who share malephar and those are CluBZero and Sp3cTraL. The two aren't friendly with each other in the sense of allies or friends but they do have a sort of truce or treaty far as raid goes. 1 whole day (2 raids in a row meaning the 2 12 hour spawns) 1 guild gets to raid malephar and the harpies uninterrupted then the following day the other guild gets to raid it.

Epith, part 2. Land of Hypocrisy?

Alright so I have re-started, for now anyways, my leveling in Epith before hitting another server. I felt lazy today so I looked for a power-leveler (plv-er), luckily I quickly found swiftlyy. He charged me 100 silver per level so I decided what the hell either way it is only two levels. We both went to Sand Hill and quickly headed to baby werebears. He kited the bears while I stayed put by the fire camp as I went off and checked my YouTube and a few other things. I would say it wasn't even 5 minutes before  a lv 6x fighter and some lv 12 fighter. He quickly comes and mocks and steals poisoned mobs off my plv-er. I, for one, am already used to this sort of stuff so I don't even bother saying a word and just pop open my HyperCam and start recording while my archer power-leveler starts complaining to the fighter to stop kill-stealing (ks-ing). The fighter ignores him and continues to do so even going further to spot claim by dividing the baby werebears saying that half were his and the other half ours. The inconsistency in both was obvious though so my archer advices to me to move to the wolves instead. I agree and we move, again not even 5 minutes before we have people moving into the area. This time it was the two afk nooblets that were close to me by the camp fire, complaining to my archer how he was taking all the mobs. I imagined he was going to say something around sorry or that he wasn't spot claiming, BUT he does the exact opposite... He tells them "too bad" and that he was there first. I found it quite funny but sad at the same time to see this small archer being submissive and scurrying away from a fighter yet openly and arrogantly picking on lv 1x nooblets. I was planning to report the 60 fighter but after seeing that I simply erased the video and shook my head...

Epith, part 1. Auto-Moving Laziness

This week's patch brought about one of the laziest additions to Fiesta yet...auto-move... Auto-move is a system for the new players (lv 1-20) to able to click on NPCs or even quest details) and let their characters go on auto-pilot (or rather auto-move to the location). It is pretty sad that the game is becoming this much easier at the low levels. Seriously, is the effort to even play video games becoming too much now for the new generations? It almost makes me think of all those songs and books I read in my English classes about books predicting the future where we become over-dependent of technology and become even lazier and anti-social. Maybe that is completely off-track but come on it does hold some truth. Has OS really received tickets/complaints about people having too much trouble finding their quests or the monsters in which to do the quest!? Does it really kill anyone to hit the map-key (M unless customized to use another letter...) and over your cursor to check out the NPCs to find out which NPC is which? Heck, not even that the NPCs already have a colored-Q both on the map and where they be letting you know if a quest hasn't been picked up, is in progress, or completed (red, green or blue respectively)!

Anyways due to me joining a dead guild/academy I stopped at level 10 since no point in continue with very weak pockets of money.

Apoline, Part 2. Land of Inflation?

I leave Takimi and Lunar_Eclipse to further expand elsewhere get a look at other guilds. I find Alacrity and by luck they are power-leveling (plv), now normally I am against Plv but since I am playing a fighter and I do got a fighter as a perm (one at 56 who is gonna level further another at 76), back in Teva I felt that it was ok. I got so distracted with anime today I only went up 3 levels sheesh curse them....
On another side note I found that indeed prices are more expensive in Apoline at least far as town scrolls go. I also noticed however that payout of guilds are generally more higher which should be obvious since its logical. The more academies pay out the more people want to charge for items; a very sad but true cycle that runs the economics here in Fiesta Online...

The Fall of a Great Leader.

Yesterday while I was in Apoline, back in my home server Teva, my master from the guild, Kazoku, decided to retire. It is quite a shame to have him leave but I wish for him the best. Our great guild has not fallen though, our guild strong like our master continues onward. A new leader has been taken his place and will now lead us I wish him luck considering we are at the top of our server and his decisions will effect how people view us and what others will think about us. I also hope he will not make decisions that will cause in-fighting or splintering. I hope and wish that our guild will still stay at the top and not falter. I will stay in the guild and see how things go, even if the guild dies I might still stay considering how I used to live back in my previous guild very small and usually empty... or if things go where I see things going down the wrong path I will make my silent departure. I hope the best for our old Master and wish him the best and that he will visit us from time to time; I also wish the best for our new master and hope things will stay good.

Kazoku forever forever Kazoku! May the Pax-Familia (Kazoku peace) last long.
